Meet the Committee

These are your guys!


James Whateley

James is a born and bred Coventarian. This is the second year he has been involved in managing the festival after taking the reigns in 2017. James is a full on ‘Cov Kid’ and is proud to be steering the ship as committee chairperson.


Jo Whateley

Jo has lived in Coventry since 1990. She is a senior nurse at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Jo is part of the stalls team and is responsible for the festivals programmes being delivered this year.


Simon Shaw

Simon been involved with the festival since 2012, either helping organise or filming at the library. This year he is Coordinating the fringe events and social media. Simon is just about old enough to remember some of the 1970’s. Amateur videographer.¬†Free to a good home.


Hannah Johnson

Hannah Johnson is a local business woman who runs our performance and exercise areas gathering local acts and clubs to showcase what they have to offer the local area on Earlsdon Street for the festival.


Dave Eyles

Dave Eyles is an Earlsdon resident who works for Coventry University. He is on the board of the Sky Blue Trust and also the Committee for the Albany Social club. He will be fulfilling the role of Health & Safety Co-Ordinator for the festival in May.


Nina Freeman

Nina is a local photographer (check her out!) and part of our amazing stalls team. She has particular responsibility for making sure the food stalls have their documents in check. You may also recognise her from The Juice House.


Dan Faulkner

Is a web developer and has been roped in to the festival committee to help with creating more interesting content and managing the web site. You may also recognise him as the amazing smoothie maker from the Juice House… he’s a pretty big deal.

Get Involved

Have you thought about volunteering for the festival? It takes a commited and community minded bunch of folks to keep the festival running each year. From road closurese to marketing and much more.
